Syracuse's men's cross country won the national championship last year. SU's 2016 schedule was released last week.

Syracuse released its 2016 cross country schedule late last week. The defending national champions’ 2016 schedule looks similar to that of last year, as seven of SU’s eight meets will be repeats from 2015. Last November, the men’s team captured its first national title since 1951. Led by juniors Colin Bennie and Justyn Knight, SU’s men looks to claim its seventh consecutive conference championship this fall.

The 2016 campaign was the second-straight year SU finished in the top-five of the national meet. Before that, the Orange hadn’t been in the top-10 since 1957.

Since taking the helm in 2005, head coach Chris Fox has guided the Orange in its most successful era. Last year, he led the Orange men to its first national title. In the past six seasons, Fox has guided the men’s team to six conference championships.
